Desperately Seeking Summer
Yay I'm back! OK, so I really didn't go anywhere I've just been too bored and lazy to post anything. Which is strange, because you'd think that if I was so bored I would have wanted to do something. All I've really been doing is taking advantage of my first few days off of school (yes, it's that time again: summer vacation!) by sleeping, waking up, eating, then sleeping again until about noon. I know this seems very sloth-like, but hey, I deserve it don't I for working so hard all year? Don't I? Yes, of course I do. After sleeping so long today that I'm surprised I didn't get bedsores, I felt guilty and decided to do some house cleaning. I'm even doing a load of laundry (don't tell my mom...I'm still waiting to see how it all turns out). Have you ever noticed that no matter how lazy you are, starting to do some serious cleaning around your home gets kind of addictive and is even energizing? Like, once you get going, it's easier and you just keep on going and going until you feel weak and light-headed and have to stop to have a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a glass of cool juice. But I digress. I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer so far and enjoying the hot-hot weather (even if your way of enjoying it is staying inside blasting the air-conditioning like me)!

Preppy Profile: Reese's Pieces
I have been a big fan of Reese Witherspoon since I first saw the movie Legally Blonde. Admit it, you've seen the movie and love it too. But reesently (haha typo intended) I have seen and admired her style as well as her talent on camera. This outfit (above; blue oxford, white trousers and blue sash belt) is fresh, crisp, and classic. The kind of look that will never go out of style because no one wants it to. Of course, there is her critically acclaimed and all around ah-dorable yellow dress she wore a while back while sporting her tres popular bangs and stunning red carpet pose (the whole legs crossing thing is always a good choice). Below is Reese wearing everyone's favourite logo: The Pink Pony. And this post just would not be complete without special "props" to the perfect presidential "Clinton Worthy" pink outfit from LB2. If Reese (Elle) can't pull it off, nobody can!

Tag! Five Things...
I was tagged by Kate from Nautical By Nature
1. What were you doing ten years ago? Hmmm not a whole lot at all... being sugar, spice, and everything nice?
2. What 5 things are on your to-do list for today? Not much left to do today (it's 6:40) but ok:
1) Wash Dishes in Sink
2) Make Study Notes/Study for Math Test Tomorrow
3) Finish Cleaning
4) Shower
5) Hmmm....re-read by book (Shopaholic and Baby)
3. Snacks you enjoy? Goldfish Crackers (cheese trio is the best), chocolate covered pretzels, Apples, Grapes, dark chocolate, Garden Salsa Sun Chips
4. Places you've lived? All in Ontario, Canada!
5. What are 5 things you would do if you were a billionaire?
1) Buy myself a nice house with a pool or move to Florida by the beach (when I move out of course)
2) Create my own dream walk-in closet (like the one in the Sex and the City Movie) and a Shoe Room (self explanitory!)
3) Stock that closet and shoe room with tons of designer clothing, shoes, bags, etc.
4) Travel the world (some stops would be Paris, New York for Fashion Week, Australia)
5) Start my own business/brand/store (I want to be a designer)
I tag everyone in blogland who hasn't been tagged yet and wants to do this!

Cheers and Jeers
There are many things in life in which to cheer and jeer about. Mainly, this past week and this week to come I see jeers (and then cheers because it's best to save good things for last...such as dessert);
Jeers!
Jeers!
- Difficult Final Presentations
- Exams
- Stessing Out!
- Uncomfortable Sweaty Conditions
- Getting Pimples Due to Stress and Uncomfortable Sweaty Conditions
- Stessing Due to Pimples Due to Stress and...(you see where I'm going with this)
- Working at a Boring and Repetitive and Uncreative Job
- Long Hours
Cheers! ♥
- Uh......(oh come on! I can think of something positive!)
- Lovely Hot Weather (which may be sweaty but also has the possibility of a nice tan)
- Almost Being Summer Vacation! (Which will mean more working, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it)
- Being Able to Wear Shorts, Skirts, and Summer Dresses Again!
- Prospect of Shopping for New Summer Wardrobe (Note To Self: Buy More Summer Dresses This Year!)
- All the Cute Preppy Clothing that Comes Out in the Shops' New Summer Collections
- All the Cute Preppy Clothing Other People are Wearing! (although admittedly, most of it belongs to me in this area)
Wow! I actually came up with more Cheers than Jeers! I guess I just got really excited about summer and shopping that all my stress went away for a little while! Talk about retail therapy!
Cheers, Everyone!

Shopping, anyone?
From my shopping trip last weekend (not this previous one...the one before :S)
All of these pictures kind of suck, but trust me, the clothes look much better in person!
Striped oxford style dress from Dynamite ( I also bought a black braided waist-cinching belt to wear with it, not shown)
Pink and Green Madras Babydoll Top from Tommy
It also ties as a bow in the middle. It's very long, and looks cute with jean burmudas and khaki shorts
Black and White Gingham Top from Dynamite...I have wanted something gingham for a while now (and it was on sale from $30 to only $10...shhhh...) it also has detachable straps.
My New Favourite Summer Bag! Madras Tommy Hilfiger with leather and canvas handles and even a cute little anchor charm! The only thing is I found a teensy little spot on the bag! It looks like chocolate or something...don't you just HATE that? It drives me crazy. Does anyone have any tips for getting stains out of a cloth bag without putting it in the washing machine and ruining it?
